Writing for Business

Ever compose an essay and then review it and see that it does not flow properly? Could it be improved so you get your message out there properly and it makes sense? How about if you are in a management position and you are responsible for explaining to the entire company how a new product or service is launched? There are times when managers or employees need to refine their writing so they are taken seriously.
If ever something is printed in a manual, pamphlet or in a small booklet that goes out to everyone in a school audience only to find there are four spelling errors, it will be an embarrassment to the entire staff in the principal’s office. Sure, we find typos in the daily and local newspapers written by freelancers, but the paper itself often doesn’t take it seriously. Instead, they say it’s up to the writer and is no fault of their own.
Why not ask someone to look over your work as an editor once a week particularly if English is not your first language? There are people like me sitting at the computer writing professional resumes and powerful cover letters who could do just that for you. Recent and past clients enjoy this service because it makes them look good on paper. Maybe it has been a long time since university, college or high school, when you may have developed your writing skills, or maybe, just maybe you were a number cruncher specializing in accounting and it didn’t matter to you, or perhaps you studied Science and spelling and business writing was the last thing on your list.
Have you taken a business correspondence course lately? Who has time? With life nowadays on the go it would be nice for all of us to have an extra day during the week, but not for work, but instead, an extra day on the weekend.
Imagine this real-time scene: In three weeks you will have to produce writing material for your company. Where do you start? You either write a few lines and crumple up the paper, or start a million files on the computer dissatisfied that it’s now working for you. You know what you want to say, but how on earth are you going to complete this piece when you have to take David to piano lessons, Sarah to swimming, and Samantha to Tai Kwan Do and meet your spouse at The Athletic Club? One week passes, then another week, then it’s 48 hours before you have to get this product printed or emailed! Are you a last minute person? It doesn’t always work best this way, leaving everything to the last minute. It’s best you plan ahead; after all you need to leave time for revisions. So get that draft done up in Week One, give it to this company and you’ll be ahead of the game, even if you only require it in draft form. At least you’ll have it to put your thoughts to paper.
Business Writing is more important than you may think. Clarity in written communications is vital to the success of a company. You may be in charge of developing a topic that you know little about. That’s ok; we can give you ideas, no problem. Seriously, think of all the benefits, plan ahead, remember that it could mean that you get that big promotion, if you look good on paper. We really don’t mind if you put your name to it instead of our name, or if you print the article in a local paper, or in a booklet, a manual, or use the text we write for your next business proposal.
We’re here to help you get started. Discover how you may save time and meet your next deadline. The more time you give us, the better. Know that there is a service out there with people behind the scenes who care whether you’re a business person, student, sales person, marketing representative or new entrepreneur. With 20 years’ experience, I am sure we can accommodate you as well, delivering a high quality product to enable you to shine.
